For the past number of years, the school has provided time for extra curricular activities, such as swimming lessons. We know how much the children enjoy these sessions.
Last year, with the help of the chairperson of the Parent’s Association. We organised a rota of parents to supervise in the changing rooms on a voluntary basis. This help was much appreciated.
Since September 2006, following the introduction of new legislation. This requires all those working with children and young people to be Garda vetted.
In order that we comply with the procedures set out in “Safe Guarding Trust” The Church of Ireland Code of Good Practice for Ministry with Children, we must adhere to the regulations.
We would hope that all parents would help out in this capacity. Garda Vetting Application Forms are available at the school office. Copies will be sent out to all new parents at the beginning of September each year. All correspondence and information in relation to Garda vetting is treated with the strictest confidence.
